Every year Indian seafarers celebrate 6th November as the NUSI Seamen’s Unity Day. It was on this day in 1963 that the different unions of seafarers came together under one strong banner of the National Union of Seafarers of India (NUSI).
Both these days are paid holidays for seafarers working on all NUSI agreements. These paid holidays are unique throughout the world.
