Sub: Contribution to the Chief Ministers Relief Fund
You are aware that the recent heavy rainfall and flood caused havoc and destruction to life and property in several parts of Maharashtra. NUSI team was there on the ground and personally visited Chiplun, Gowalkot, Muradpur, Manjarekashi, Mahad, Rajewadi, Makhjan, Kasba and Fansawane to assess the damage and to provide assistance to the seafarers and their families.
NUSI has always been in the forefront to assist the Government in natural calamities. A delegation led by Capt. Hiranandani, NUSI President, Shri Abdulgani Serang, NUSI General Secretary cum Treasurer, Shri Milind Kandalgaonkar, NUSI Assistant General Secretary and Shri Salim Zagade, NUSI Office Secretary met the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Uddhav Thackeray today.
We are pleased to inform you that as part of the initiatives of NUSI, an amount of Rs. 10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten lakhs) has been donated to the Maharashtra Chief Ministers Relief Fund.
We will continue to provide assistance to the widows and needy seafarers as part of NUSI welfare activities.
