NUSI honoured with prestigious National and international award
Over the years, thousands of seafarers and their families and also the general public have benefitted from the NUSI welfare activities. In light of the activities mentioned above, NUSI was the winner of the ISWAN "Best Seafarers Welfare Organization of the Year Award - 2015" from amongst 280 worldwide nominations received. This award was presented by Mr. Koji Sekimizu, Secretary General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), in London.
The National Maritime Day Celebrations Committee also honoured NUSI for receiving this prestigious award.
NUSI was honoured with "Best Seafarers Welfare Organisation" award by Sailor Today magazine.
NUSI was honoured with "Innovation in Seafarers Welfare" award for (psychological help line) NUSI Sahara by Pride of the Seas, Chennai.
Thousands of seafarers and their families have already benefitted by the welfare intitiatives of NUSI. Enclosed also herewith is a booklet about the history of NUSI.
